#HalloweenOStyle - Dreadfully drastic Disney

Hola Stylistas

Hope your Halloween preparations are going swell. Here is our second Halloween Heroine: Minnie Mouse. Hopefully in a less cliche way than her typical appearance- or a more grown up approach. Minnie grew up and grew stylish. She also got a job to manage her shopping addiction and sparkly, blood red nails seemed appropriate to torment the humblings of Halloween. After all, her red could symbolise love when with Mickey. But without him, is she a monstrous wreck?

#HalloweenOStyle - Inspired by TeenVogue

#HalloweenOStyle

Here is the first Halloween Heroine for the week's trio of devilish, delights. (I can't promise they will all be heroines sadly!). Today, I admit... I saw the Dorothy idea on a Teen Vogue article on hipster Halloween ideas. However, Dorothy is such a classic, stereotypical look which is more gorgeous than ghoulish- making it perfect for those of us who just don't suit vampire attire (sorry Bella and co).

Fitted with devinely deceiving 'ruby red slippers', baby blue gingham and a woven basket- all you need is your pet pooch to follow the yellow brick road towards the party season!

During the week remember to vote for your fave costume. Via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Polyvore or Pinterest! The more likes each character receives, the more popular they are. Who knows; I might dress up in the costume with the most votes at the end of the week!

#MyCosmoStyle What would you wear in #VEGAS?

#MyCosmoStyle
So recently whilst chilling on holiday (well in England and working...), I got into the new Kim Kardashian iPhone app 'Hollywood' and reached 70 million fans on there (says a lot about how addictive the game is...it's like grown up Stardoll). I'm not normally a Kim K fan and posting her name on here isn't exactly dream worthy; it links with my next point. Holiday locations. It only costs $20 to fly to Las Vegas on the app! $60 to fly to London! That got me thinking... Vegas. Flashy lights, cocktails in a plethora of colours and gambling. Vegas may not be a fashion capital [yet] but it sure sounds like an inspiration capital. Take a look at these images of the beautiful 'Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas'. To view more of the captivating Cosmopolitan, visit: http://www.vegas.com/resorts/cosmopolitan/

But, before you've hit the slot machine jackpot. What would you wear in Vegas?

Katy Perry's donned her 'Vegas' get up before at an event in... VEGAS! But, I'm not as daring as Katy's (stylist) style so I thought I'd try on my own Vegas get-up and gamble chic.

Orange is the new black - really? REALLY. #OIStNB

Hallelujah, a post! Before I start, just like to say a big THANK YOU to our lovely guest bloggers who blogged for #ABlogADayInMay 2014. Including Taylor of Somewhere over the rainbow, Blusher and Bronze, Hey Iris, Christina of This Fashion Girl, Evie Stacey of Distaceful and finally Blushing Beauty. I haven't really had time to communicate with you girls properly, so thank you for your lovely posts and passion seeping through them. Will be adding you all to my blog reading list :)

Orange is the new black - really? REALLY!

So after completing my exams last weekend I took a shopping trip, in person. I know, I'm not one for actually moving out of my bed at 6am in the morning to traipse around shops, knowing they won't have my size/style/budget. Of which, they had neither. Dang it. Anywho, when at lunch- I headed for twitter and the whole world was talking about this show called 'Orange is the new black'. Then, galivanted to Miss Selfridge and they were advertising the show too in the changing rooms. Hmm, fishy I thought. Kinda reminded me of the 'Breaking Bad' and 'Game of Throne' crazes that started not so long ago.

When I thought of the colour orange [in fashion terms] it made me think of Legally Blonde.

Orange isn't a terrible colour, but it just reminds us all of that dreaded fake tan.

But in fashion terms, orange can look very 70s and funky fresh. Oh god I said funky fresh- ergh.

So the main point of today's post was to convince you that orange is a nice colour, regardless of the TV show's influence. Will the TV show help orange make a comeback? It's possible. Fashion is influenced by the media a lot. Whether its the people, places or past - fashion isn't new, just recycled.

Here's the Polyvore post. The outfit is for a budget and is a slight mix-match. But hey ho, what do you think? Is orange the new black?
